New MBP, SATA I or SATA II ??!! (with self SSD installed)

I got 15" and replace the stock HDD with Intel X25-M G2 SDD.

In Win7, I run HD tune, I got max read speed 160-170M, far from the 230M spec. Write speed was fine, actually max at about 100M, better than spec 70M.

Is there a Mac version HDD benchmark tool to try? How is your figure?

To have a look at the actual controller interface, go to System Profiler > Hardware > Serial-ATA.

To benchmark your SSD speed, download AJA System Test.

So numbers looks fine, I will try the tool.

160 MB/sec sounds a bit disappointing. Let us know.

Read 220M in OSX, write 90M!

Weird though in Win 7, it's 160-170M, bootcamp driver is the one to blame I guess?
