Hey all,

I've had my new MBP about 3 weeks.. and its got a problem already :(. When I move the screen, it flickers and often the colors "invert." If you hit Control-Command-Option-8, you can see what it looks like (except its more flickery). If I move the screen around I can sometimes find a "good spot" where its okay.

Its the same in Windows and OSX. This tells me its a hardware issue. It doesn't seem to be the backlight (tapping the back of the screen does nothing - its *moving* the screen that does it). I'm thinking its either a bad video ribbon cable, or a loose one. What are people's thoughts on that diagnosis? I am going to call Apple tomorrow. If I am right, is that something they could fix at the Apple Store in a day? Thats what I'm hoping - I'll be in the DC area next weekend, and there are several Apple stores up there so I could easily take it in. Or will I have to mail my computer in to Apple? :(

Any advice appreciated!

EDIT: Just for kicks, I reset both the PRAM and the SMC. No change.
