New MBP users... Is it faster than the Previous Gen?

For those users who just bought a new MBP, and are comming from a Previous gen MBP. Can you notice this computer is alot faster?

1066FSB, up to 2.8GHz, DDR3 1066 vice DDR2 667....

Or is it really not noticeable?
