Hey guys,

I tried to adjust the volume on my MBP by using the F10-12 keys, but they don't work - the sound of adjusting volume was there, but the output of the sound remained at the same level.

Then I plugged in my headphone, and realized that the output level actually adjusts in the headphone.

The issue only exists when I'm using the built-in speakers.

What's the problem there? Thanks guys.

Have you tried restarting your Mac? Might be the fix...I've noticed that sometimes mine won't adjust and rebooting will fix it.

maxhk,
I know this not a fix for your issue, but for reference the volume keys seem to work OK on my MBP.

It works! Thanks.

I still want to know what the problem is though. Anyone?
