Hello,
Multitasking and doing anything video related tasks the CPU so much in my MBP13 non-touch bar. (dual core i5 @ 2.3GHz, 2017 model, no discreet graphics, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD).
Right now, things like YouTube and Zoom run this CPU into high utilization. Running an external monitor and having a streaming lesson and something like Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom or Affinity Designer on the other screen makes this thing very troublesome.

I am looking at the MBP16 base model with 2.6GHz 6-Core Processor, 512GB Storage, AMD Radeon Pro 5300M.
Is that solution better at streaming video and multitasking?
Would love to wait for a refresh, but we may not have a budget next year.

Well, to state the obvious, upgrading from the MBP 13 dual i5 to a MBP 15 with 2.6 6 core is going to be a serious upgrade for you for some applications. Like comparing an Accord and a Corvette in a way.

I'll just use the Geekbench results:

MBP 13 NTB 2C i5 2.3GHz has Single Core Benchmark of 855 and Multicore of 2032.
MBP 16 TB 6C i7 2.6 GHZ has Single Core Benchmark of 1000 and Multicore of 5161.

So applications that are graphics intensive and can use multi-core are going to run fast and tax the CPU less.

Single core simple browsing....not going to see dramatic differences.

Keyboard.....night and day.

Going to be a migration to USB-C so that's going to be a change.

Did I mention keyboard is way nicer?

Mine is higher spec'd with the i9 and the 5500M graphics. Ran zoom as presenter for 4.5 hour video meeting today and the temperature never rose on the unit. No fan noise.

Incredibly better sound. Microphones are amazing for video conference too. Most people on the conference asked what I did to get so good sound. I normally use my 2011 MBP 17 for things but used the MBP 16 today and they noticed.

You are really going to like the keyboard. I might have said that already.
