New message group chat photos supposed to sync?

Hi guys,

So I'm talking about the new feature where you can pin a group conversation to the top of the messages app and give it a custom photo e. g. an emoji. Is this photo supposed to sync across devices? I changed it on the iPhone but it doesn't sync to my iPad.

EDIT: Nevermind, it just synced :)
