so i had gotten the network printing to work for a couple of weeks.
i used the LPD protocol (or whatever its called) and my IP address, and it was beautiful.
Now i had to do a reinstall of my Avast! Internet Security on my PC (so the setting were most likely turned to default) but im guessing that after this time the problems started to occur.
i try to print from pages/word/texteditor and it works fine and dandy until the print freezes (like the data thats being copied literally pauses). when i go to job info, this is the message that pops up:
/usr/libexec/cups/backend/lpd failed
no idea what that means
i have the HP Photosmart C4680 (NOT wireless) and i have the hpijs 3.10.6.15 driver for the printer series, but it never really works for me (that and i have no idea how to use it LOL!)
so if anyone can help me out, i will greatly appreciate it and will gladly give u an imaginary cookie? LOL thank you!
