bought new mac mini m2 for as back up for when the late 2015 imac gives it up..... have no expierence with monitors or audio...have been looking at 4k for clarity but dont know if it is over kill. looking at PHILIPS 276E8VJSB 27" ( also samsung ) but philips has no speakers and dont know if audio output is from mini or monitor, also hdmi connections seem to have some variables ....budget is 300-500 usd in the indian market which allows for greater selection, any monitor recommendations ?

27"/4k is probably "the way to go" that offers the best display for the amount of money spent.

Dell has some nice 27"/4k displays, not sure if you can get them where you are.

Don't count on the speakers in ANY display you get to be better than "mediocre". For good sound, get a set of powered external speakers. I'll reckon that even the cheaper external speakers will sound as good or better than "the best" in-display speakers. I could be wrong.
