Does the new Mac Mini Server change anything for those looking for alternatives to Apple TV?

Mac Mini Link I keep waiting and waiting and I'm beginning to either rationalize what's offered or just getting more confused on what I really need.

I need something simple to use and reliable. Does SL Server offer that?

for a home theatre situation, you'd be better off getting the regular mini, and adding an external drive if you need the extra storage room. that way you keep the optical drive.

plus OS X server has way more features than you would need.
