I just purchased a new Motorola SB6120 modem and a Blekin N+ wireless router. Modem is working great! It supports the new 3.0 DOSCIS and even though I can't find whether or not Comcast is supporting it in my area I am getting the speeds that they say will come with implementation in my area. I also purchased a Belkin N+ wireless router. So far so good. Had my son set up the system while I was at work so I can't say that I'm familiar with all the checked boxes. We did set it up to have a password to allow entry on the network and all our computers (G5, iBook, PC) and games (Xbox and PS3 and Wii) are all on and working great. Here's my problem. Both the iBook and the G5 will "fall off" the network. When this happens I go into Network settings and do the diagnostic and it will find the network and re-establish a connection. My son's PC doesn't have this problem. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
*** It just did it while I was writing this. Went to diagnostics and everything was green.....Airport;Airport settings; Network Settings but the ISP;Internet; and Server were red. Seems that if their is some inactivity it just goes away. There is another network that is a password protected and is a neighbor's, "Gillespie", and ours is "GoGo..... so the Gillespie always appears before ours. Wonder if that is creating a problem? Anyway I can just set things to recognize and go to our network?
