its usually for everyday use. I tend to watch a lot of movies. And occasionally play games here and there. but mostly for movies and internet.
 
thats a $300 monitor... (that was a euro site, im in the us)

looking for something on the cheaper side

it is a damn nice monitor tho.
 
In all honesty, you won't get a good quality 24inch for under $200. You're looking at around $400.
 
This isn't an area to cheap out, IMO. Either look for a smaller size or up your price range. Remember the old adage; you get what you pay for. A cheaper display is cheaper for a reason.
 
Hmm I'm in the same situation, looking for a monitor for work (typing up stuff, photoshop, video editing), 20-22 inch, and have about $350 (£270).

What would you recommend? It isn't for video games :)
