New monitor Any suggestions?

Okay so i am going from an Acer 19 widescreen, to something bigger.... i dont know what size but i want bigger. I have this LCD arm which i think says i can hold up to a 24 inch monitor. My ideal price range is 200, i would go above that if i found a really good deal..

Any one have any suggestions?

What will you be using this monitor for? If you're going to use it for everyday email, internet and word processing then you're likely to get different recommendations than if you wanted to do any sort of photography and colour work.

its usually for everyday use. I tend to watch a lot of movies. And occasionally play games here and there. but mostly for movies and internet.

Dell do a 24 inch for $211. I think some users have the same monitor on here.

In all honesty, you won't get a good quality 24inch for under $200. You're looking at around $400.

This isn't an area to cheap out, IMO. Either look for a smaller size or up your price range. Remember the old adage; you get what you pay for. A cheaper display is cheaper for a reason.

You can get the Dell in a 20 inch widescreen for just over 200. I agree that this isn't the area you want to scrimp on quality.

If you can wait a little bit and save a little more cash then you'll be much happier with the product.

Hmm I'm in the same situation, looking for a monitor for work (typing up stuff, photoshop, video editing), 20-22 inch, and have about $350 (£270).

What would you recommend? It isn't for video games

Crappy panel, but for that price I can't argue.
