New music app

Hi everyone,
I haven't updated to 8.4 yet because I don't want to lose free music streaming through the music app. Am I right in saying the only streaming music available now through apples music app is a subscription based streaming service? I know it's free for three months and I would rather use the native app so I don't have to download another app but why would I ever pay money for streaming when there are so many free alternatives?

I'm not sure as I never used them. Maybe someone else will know? The new ones include the Beats 1 station and then general categories like: hard rock, classic rock, country, etc.

I don't think so. I have not signed up, I have show apple music disabled, and Beats 1 is still showing on the radio tab.

The radio is free. I believe you have limited skips if your on the free tier.

So the radio part is beats radio or the iTunes Radio that they had previously?

I have no prior experience with iTunes Radio so I'm not really sure.

But the wording from Apple's site says the radio (including beats 1) will be free.
