Hi

my friend in Japan sends me video files taken with his cell phone - they're automatically encoded with the Nancy codec, which is .noa after the file name. It's a codec developed in Japan by Office Noa

Anyone know more about this? I know we have some Japanese posters here, and it would be great if you could let me know how I can actually play these on my Mac.

Cheers

You could try just renaming the file to .mov ... my friend has a Sony Clie PDA, and although the video he takes with it are encoded in some weird format, when he transfers them to his computer he just renames them to .mov and they play perfectly...

it's worth a try :D
