I finally broke down and purchased a new Samsung Note 3. I would like some input on the good and bad about this device. I really wanted to wait for the Note 4 but didn't know how long the wait would of been. Thanks in advance.

I love mine. I rooted mine so I could remap the menu key to the multitask. Battery is good if managed. If you've used android before you should know what I mean. The spen is nonessential but very handy. Screen is very good. There's some bloatware so watch out.

Overall great phone.

My Note 3 is great, but pretty sure it's been noted almost everywhere that the 4 will debut in early September. ;)

For me, the s pen is essential. However, I agree it's a great phone.

Hopefully you dont have to download 4.4.2 Kit Kat as it ruined the Note 3 experience for me.

Random battery issues out of nowhere, lag, and weird restarts that popped up out of nowhere.

The Note 3 is a great device but I blame Android and Touchwiz for making it almost unusable and making me rethink about switching to Android a couple years ago.

It's an alright phone but something tells me you'll regret it in September.

But looking at the supposed spec bump of the Note 4 (it's not much), maybe you won't.

I recently sold mines and got a Nexus 5. The Note 3 was just too big for me; however, its a great device. The AT&T locked bootloader was annoying, though. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to purchase an Android device.

Nah I wont regret because I already thought it out. The Note 4 would be nice but another 4 cpu's isn't really necessary . Thanks

Probably the best phone i had and performance is top notch, if no 5.5 iphone im going back to the Note line.

So yeah the size :D big but personally didn't have a problem with that, my only complaint about the housing was the disgusting chrome sides and because of how im used to hold phones i had a problem with my pinky and the "sharp" edges of the charging port.

I honestly don't have nothing bad to say in regards of usability and did not had any problems with touchwiz; while i don't really use cameras i found the quality on the Note 3 not great.

Best battery life I've ever had and that was with the exynos model, the screen is fantastic and i actually miss the saturated colors and those blacks.

Im sure you will love it !:p

Love mine, even nearly a year having it best phone out there for me

Still now it's still one of the best phones out there

Love my Note 3, I had it since release day and have yet to run into any issues that couldn't be fixed. I have no Kit Kat issues. I've either ran EffortLess or S5 Port from XDA.

I have iPhone 5s and Nexus 5, but also owned Note 3. I have said it before. There really is nowhere to go from the Note 3 if you can get around with its size (which is actually small for a 5.7" inch screen - Apple could take a lesson with the bezels here). It is the best phone on the market, period. I just could not get on my bicycle with it in the pocket. Could not bend, but really wish I could keep it. As soon as you take it out, you are so happy for its big size in use :).

You will love it. It took me a while to get away from my iphone, I went back and forth a lot. But after forcing myself after a couple of weeks I could never ever go back to my iphone. The Note 3 setup with the stylus is also pretty unique and you will find yourself using it more and more and wonder why it's not a standard feature on all phones. Other things are ahead of the pack as well like the small bezels, nice thin size, and insane battery life, heck it's a better phone than what's been rumored for the IP6 5.5" IMO.

Your only regret may be the Note 4 in 3 months though...

WOW I'm so happy with all these awesome comments about the Note 3. I hope it will be here today but most likely it will arrive sometime tomorrow. Thanks a lot guys! I'm excited!

New Note 3 arriving in a few days

Loved it at first, hated the kitkat update, but now I'm rooted running a slimmed down custom rom and things couldn't be better. Word of advice, kitkat introduced quite a few problems for some people so YMMV. Others seem not to be experiencing it but all in all, the Note 3 is the best android phone I've used to date and I've used quite a few.

you still keeping it When the next note is out? If so I would say get a few spare batteries. You never know when you may need to change it on the go.

Love my note. I had the original note for a year and a half and loved that. I tried an S4 and a 5S in the interim but cane back to the note 3. I can't see myself using another phone.

im an iOS user but my mum (she's 66 years old and needs mobile internet although she's not very good at using it) needs a new phone. she's been running android for a while now and is ready to ditch her "real" keyboard in favor of a touchscreen.

when is the note 4 supposed to hit stores? I've decided on getting her the samsung note and I'm not sure whether or not to wait for the 4. she doesn't care about having the newest technology but I've researched the note 3 and its a perfect size for her.

I'm just very worried about her losing the stylus. cause that WILL happen...

likely late september or early october release for US carriers

I always bashed the Note 3 for being to dam big and never paid it much attention to it. While I never owned one, I am curious to get one and test it out. It does look like a beautiful phone. Just purchased a N5 a few hours ago though:cool:

Saw my nephews note 3 yesterday, he has only had it a few months and the bezels are are all scratched up. I didn't think that would be so when I had one and a S5 but it happens.

Enjoy your N5. You will love it. Make sure you put L on it.

It depends on how you treat it. I had the S4 for 7 months and it didn't have a mark on it. I gave it to my OH and after a week all the sides were scratched up!

It does depend on how you handle it. I use my Note 3 completely naked, no case, no screen protector, nothing at all. It is in mint condition, even the seemingly fragile faux chrome is unblemished. The faux leather back is surprisingly resilient as well.

I finally got my Note 3 after waiting for a week and 1/2 . So far I'm loving the size and how fast the OS is compared to my older GS3 phone. I made a smart decision and I'm very happy with it. Thanks again! :0
