New o2 logo on homescreen

Hello,
I have just noticed that this new o2 logo has appeared at the top of my home screen and all the other screens as I scroll across.
Does anyone know why?
It just appeared all of a sudden.

that just seems to happen sometimes. try restarting the phone

I restarted the phone and it has gone, but still leaves my wondering why It appeared in the first place? Just a glitch in the software I suppose?
