I've been toying with the idea of picking up an SSD for my new 17 MBP, but am having a very hard time deciding which to purchase. Has anyone seen/read much about the new OCZ Vertex SSDs? Theres an article on tomshardware.com where OCZ claims it will beat the the Intel X25-M drives. (http://www.tomshardware.com/news/ocz-ssd-vertex-intel-solid-state,7127.html) The drives were also just posted on Newegg for purchase at $850 for the 250GB, which makes them slightly cheaper than the Samsung units. (that is, until you can actually buy the samsung unit retail and not have to purchase from ebay)

Which unit would you all go for? The Samsung still seems like the best option for size/speed, but the OCZ drive seems like it might be a good option too. (uses a new controller? and has a 64MB buffer)
