New 'old' MBP?

I got my MPB yesterday and went to support.apple.com/specs to check it by the serial number. The result was 'MacBook Pro (Mid 2007, 2.4/2.2GHz'. I'm not sure if it should be this way, because the latest modification is 'MacBook Pro (Late 2007, 2.4/2.2GHz)'. Although the configuration is absolutely the same, it seems strange to get the Mid 2007 laptop in 2008. My serial number starts with W87493A, and according to the information i found here 49 means the week when it was produced. So my question is if i got an old or a new one.
