Apple's Passeig de Gràcia store in Barcelona, Spain will be temporarily closed for remodeling starting in February, according to a source familiar with the matter.

In Montréal, Canada, a separate source indicated that Apple's Sainte-Catherine store will be moving to a new location in mid-January. Last year, the newspaper La Presse reported that the new store would be located in a 125-year-old heritage building, at the northeast corner of Rue Saint-Catherine and Rue de la Montagne.

Apple recently announced that it will be opening its fifth retail store in India this month, at the DLF Mall of India in Noida, a city near New Delhi.

Apple Noida is set to open on Thursday, December 11, at 1 p.m. local time.

Apple's first two stores in India opened in 2023, in Mumbai and New Delhi. The company then opened another two stores in India in September, in Bengaluru and Pune. In addition, the Apple Store app launched in India earlier this year.

10x increase in market cap since 2011 yet fewer stores (by a couple dozen).

IMO, Apple's presence in higher-end shopping districts exists solely to promote themselves as a "luxury brand" BS they're trying so hard to hold on to. But their Wal-Mart and Amazon deals tell the true story: get the product into as many hands as possible by any means necessary.

Fisher Price OS and disposable tech don't need many Genius Bar appointments. Honestly, who shows up there asking for tech support like it's 2005?

But that Spanish one looks like an already modern 2010s interior design from the AA era. Other than the mistake of removing genius bars from her changes… looking back those revamps looked way more classy than today’s latest Apple Store interior design… which looks like a 70s locker room and features way too much high quality fake wood and flooring

Glad to see that retail expansion in India is happening at a quick pace. Not sure whether Apple has plans for more stores in the near future.

Dam... a bit shock here, I wounder what's wrong with Apple Barcelona, to me is totally cool.
It will be annoying if there is no plan B while the store is closed.
I'm curious, any complains about the store itself ??
Anything you would update, like all-wood-panels into over-the-top-glass ?

Well, there is the unused -1 floor and the trees decoration on the main floor that takes out plenty of space. Let’s see.
