New Owners of rMBP for September - Samsung or LG

I may give the rMBP retina one last shot after several returns. Just wanted to check in with the new owners for the month of September, which display have you been receiving? Maybe Apple is now only shipping out Samsung displays due to the numerous returns of rMBP with LG displays.

Got mine in mid August with an LG screen and it was PERFECT. I returned it to get a 16GB Model, which as a Samsung screen and it is also PERFECT.

Two tries, two perfect. No complaints.
 
I received a replacement the first week of September that exhibited definite IR (LG panel). I've decided to hop off the merry-go-round for a few months while I wait for these issues to be sorted out.

I got one with an LG display and I have no complaints. :)

ordered mine on tuesday and got it today. ran script in terminal...how do i know if its samsung or lg?

DLM..

regardless i'm happy with my screen and do not see any deformities.

That's a Samsung!

Mine is too - got it on Wednesday. No issues so far aside from considering ditching my base model for 2.6/16/256
 
Ordered 9/3 and received 9/10 (BTO 2.6/16/512). Samsung screen and it's perfect. No dead pixels, no IR, and no uniformity issues.
 
Got a 2.6/16/256 with an LG screen and it's perfect! I would have liked it to be a samsung more (no particular reason) but its perfect either way!!
 
LG still

Ordered a second one, 2.6/16/256 BTO and it's also an LG. While there doesn't yet appear to be any IR, the MAIN issue that I had with the last one, was LOW BRIGHTNESS, I have to keep it at either full, or a couple ticks down from full just to have normal readability.

The new one, ordered Sept 3, arrived Sept 11th, is also LG and not IR but almost even WORSE brightness. I know these screens don't have the same brightness of previous screens, but I prefer brighter especially with more light in a room.

Is there no hope? I hate to keep playing the 14 day game.
 
2 rMBP's base model. Both Samsung screens and graphics card failure with the first and the second has a misaligned Magsafe 2.0 and squeaky chassis.
 
They are not going to stop shipping ones with a certain screen - unfortunately you are going to have to purchase it with a chance of getting a certain panel. Personally I don't see the difference in the brand - if it has defects it has defects.
 
LG Screen here

I have a brand new 16/256 with an LG screen. Looks perfect. Nice machine and the extra RAM really makes it zing.
