I have a new Pegasus 2 4 disk unit that I have set up as a Raid 6. My drives are 3 TB & therefore the array creates a 6TB logical drive. I'm thinking of changing the Raid level to either 1E or 10. I think I would like to avoid Raid 5. I've also considered setting up a 3 disk Raid 0 and using the 4th drive in pass thru mode for backup. I should mention I have plenty of other backup devices including a Netgear ReadyNas network unit.

Would like to hear how others have set up their Pegasus units. Thanks for any suggestions.

RAID 6 doesn't make sense on a 4 disk system. Using RAID 10 will be faster, with easier restores and the same amount of redundancy.

I use RAID 5 on mine.
