iPhone 11 New phone packaging question

I noticed there was no protection on the back of the my new iPhone 11 in the box. Just a piece of plastic on the screen. Not fully wrapped or anything. I’m guessing that’s the way they do it now? Haven’t gotten a new phone in years.

It's just plastic on the front now.

Cool thanks. Just wanted to make sure. Now to inspect the thing with a fine-toothed comb for imperfections. Looks pretty good so far except for one tiny mark.
