My boss got an iPhone today - since he had never had one, and I have, he asked me to help him set up the syncing.
During the initial install/sync, it asked for the Office 2000 CD - instead of walking all the way to the software closet to get the disk, we cancelled whatever it was trying to install (I know- not real smart). It finished and looks/acts normal, except when it says it is syncing contacts, calendar, bookmarks, it isn't actually doing anything. I've tried changing the sync source from Outlook and back, I've renamed the phone in iTunes and restarted Outlook / iTunes / the computer several times - no luck.
I can't get it to ask for the Office 2000 CD again to install whatever it was trying to do - how can I:
a) make it think this is all new so that it asks for the CD again, or
b) fix it so that it sync's properly if the problem isn't related to it asking for the CD
