Hi,
I'm on Yosemite and ever since moving over I've been using Photos (not Apples finest application I must say)
Lately I've not been able to see my Iphone in the Photos app to get pics off.
I'm pretty sure I used to plug it in and it would appear with all my pics like it did with the old app.
Any ideas?

Plug in your iPhone and open your Image Capture App. Go to the bottom right hand corner where it says "Connecting this iPhone opens:" and choose the Photos App. Then when you plug in your phone it will open Photos for you.

My Image capture didn't show any devices which was one of the problems.
I've downloaded and started to use El Capitan which has resolved the issue :)
