Hello,
I am using iPhoto. I take pictures with my iPhone and they get uploaded in the iPhoto tab "iCloud" on the left side. I have read the support documents to this feature and they say the Photostream contains pictures of the last 30 days. I have now 600 pictures in the iCloud tab and they first pictures I look several months ago are still there.
I checked my iCloud system preferences and checked the used storage. There is no used iCloud storage shown for photos!? Does the photo stream feature uploads a unlimited amount of photos to my iPhone App?
Im still using the free 5GB, and don't want to buy more.

I want to upgrade to the new Photos App, but I can't find any informations if this feature is still there. I heard that in the new App, it takes storage of my free 5GB to upload them. Is that right?

Its sunday and nobody was at apple care to help me. I hope you can...

Thank you!

Photo stream stores 1000 photos without taking up any of your 5gb storage allowance.

The new Photos app is horrendously bad. Stick with iphoto.
