new photos gone!

I was looking at them on the phone in the evening, but when I got home and I couldn't view them, and they didn't come into photo stream and now they are gone. I got i explorer and they are not there!!!

What's going on???

using the apple stock camera app or a 3rd party one?

are you the only user of the phone? Maybe someone fiddled with it.
