I have a new project incoming, a rather bastard child experiment but have faith this is going to work pretty well. And if well enough I will then see about witching out some Windows Servers and filing them way in my big green complaint department drawer at the end of the build (the actual dumpster)

At the moment the idea is:

I am starting with Windows 10 - latest version 1800something. Installed natively on Mac mini's.
I get these for work, remove from the box and connect a Windows USB to the rear, hold option at boot up and erase all existence of MacOS on the hard drive and get Windows 10 up and going.

I have around 35-38 of these in service from 2010-2014 and so far the employees love them...anyway.

Next is see if I can get Ubuntu Server or Desktop to take the replace of my Domain Controller + Active Directory machine just because I like challenges and heard it could be done.

I recently had 6 mini's in various levels of disarray, some wouldn't boot, some wouldn't stay booted, some slow as tar, you name it. I ripped them down to nothing, did a thorough cleaning job and replaced all thermal pastes on the boards, and all hdd with SSD. Formats + Fresh fresh, installs of Window 10 and a5 of these machines have been humming right along for 4 ays in my lab to see if anything else happens.
The last machine got Ubuntu Desktop 18.04 installed and is going to be set up with domain controller and active directory to see if I can completely run a Windows environment of 35+ Windows machines, with zero windows machines at all and no VM's. just some determination and learning more in depth with Linux to get this done.

We'll see how she goes tomorrow boys.

I have a couple weeks before my new 2018 Mac mini comes in to get back in to full work mode so until the I have requests and odds and ends on my honey-do board that I am challenging myself to accomplish before the new machine comes in.

Fingers crossed fellas.

I will do my dandiest to try and document as much of the process as possible just in case for some reason, someone just wants to stir the pot as well and get into this same pot.
