While I was searching apple.com for the new remote I saw the new power adapter for the MB and 13MBP it has a metal tip like the macbook air's so I think it protects against ripping.

Metal end prevents from destruction from normal wear and tear. Probably all will end up like this in the future.

Looks to be angled like the MBA's too. Much better design IMHO.
