These new ibooks are pretty good and initially made me regret buying this 12" powerbook a few weeks back. But after looking at the specs I can now see that even this 12"er is still a superior machine. The most obvious difference is having twice as much L2 cache.. why on earth did they even bother putting that chip into the ibooks anyways? Isn't it slower then the previous chip on pretty much anything except for altivec type stuff?? If they were worried about it looking bad they could have just given it a clever nameother then G3.. or they could have put G5 with an asterik and a tiny tiny footnote at the bottom of the list saying * (-2).. blah.
The gfx card looks good though, does anyone know how it compares to the fx5200? If the ati one is indeed better, why on earth wouldn't apple use it in the pbook? Just to keep good relationships with nvidia?
Soo yeah.. discuss that and other ways in which our pbooks are still the top of the line apple portables.
