Hey everyone,

I am in need of a new printer and am not really sure where to begin looking, and was hoping someone here would be able to lend a hand.

I would just like to be able to easily print wireless from around my house on my MacBook Pro and my iMac that will be stationed beside the printer.

Preferences:
Wireless with easy setup
Laser
One cartridge of toner, though I am not picky.
1600 pages of black and white + per toner cartridge
15+ pages per minute
Scanner / Fax

Price Range:
$100-200 preferred, though this is also flexible within reason.

Would it make more sense to purchase a non laser printer for my needs?

These are two that I have looked at so far, but I would love some recommendations

Stick with laser unless you need photo quality prints. Inkjets are a nightmare, especially with low volume printing where the printhead cleaning cycle can suck down the very expensive ink.

I'm sure the Canon printers are OK (I have a Canon color laser multifunction myself), but if you just need monochrome, take a serious look at Brother. Inexpensive and reliable. My wife bought one for her front desk position 5+ years ago, and when she retired she brought it home; we still use it for bulk monochrome printing.

Thank you for the information, I think you have sold me on a Brother Printer then and I think I found one that will work perfectly for me: https://www.brother.ca/en-CA/Printers/1/ProductDetail/HLL2380DW/Overview

You can't go wrong with a Brother Laser printer. I have had one for almost 10 years, it is a workhorse. I ended up replacing the our inkjet color printer with a color laser and couldn't be happier. Sure the color print quality of photos isn't as good, but it just works and works and works.

I found 2 HP LaserJet Professional M1212nf MFPs on craigslist for $40.00. They support ethernet, BonJour, AirPrint, yada yada. I can print from my iOS devices natively.

They are enterprise grade and the best part is I get jobber cartridges (2000 pages) for $16.00 to my door from eBay.
