I think it would be cool if Apple came out with more colors eventually, especially a (product)Red. I personally wouldn't buy it, but variety is always good.

I agree, I'm having trouble envisioning the current plastic iPhone in a red that doesn't look tacky. Maybe if it was a deeper red and metallic, like the Blackberrys?

i wouldn't mind a red like the current nano/shuffle, but the red from the article is absolutely disgusting.

Not bad. It could have the potential slick factor that the white has. I would imagine the brighter red would hide fingerprints better.

Would be interesting to see different shades.

the black and red combo would look fantastic. That's a good color combination, red and black go together well.

I would have to disagree. I think the red and the white would both look better if the front matched too.

I usually like red but i don't like this shade. I think if it were darker I'd like it better. This one definitely looks too feminine.

haha i didn't even look at the picture i was just guesstimating it. and yeah, now looking at that bright candy red color i don't like it. if it was blood red it would look much better.

Yeah the thing is that the nano/shuffles are aluminum which makes the red look way better. I'm not sure how high gloss plastic + red go together, regardless of shade. The one in the article is absolutely awful, I think they'd definitely have to go for a deeper shade.

I will buy it if it is 32GB.
I will definitely consider it if it comes in a 32 GB model.

But then again, I'm sure they will have a 32 GB model in black, as well.

The trick is, are current iPhone 3G users going to be allowed to upgrade as before? Or are we going to be "non-upgrade-eligible"?

Red is my absolute favorite color, and I love all shades -- including the pictured one (though I would prefer the red of nano's and shuffles).

I've always bought Apple products that then come out with a (product)red version later, and I swore it would never happen again! So no 3G iPhone for me yet, until a red one comes out... :D

I think I wanted to say AT&T but i really wanted to use the :apple:.
