New Rambo Film!!!!

Wow. When I clicked the youtube link I thought for sure I was going to see some funny spoof by madTV or the like. But this is real!

Cashing in on the success of Rocky Balboa I guess (which was a great movie). Hope Rambo brought his prostate meds.
 
We'll have to wait a year for this one. It's scheduled for release May 28, 2008, as Rambo IV.

The lead actress, Julie Benz, played Ursula in George of the Jungle 2. This movie doesn't look much different! :D
 
Gratuitous violence, gore, guns, bad dudes of another ethnicity, and to top it off a christian antagonist - there's no way this won't do well at the US box office ;).
 
Rocky Balboa was not that good, hoped with age he would improve on both the Rocky and Rambo franchise first effort, guess not.

Sly seems like a good and smart man, seems he could demand better.

Stallone is an action movie guy. Why should he demand better? I love my action flicks to be cheesy. It already looks too serious, when comparing to Rambo II. Though the original "Rambo" First Blood was a cinematic masterpiece. Probably one of the best films ever made. Conan the Barbarian was definitely the best movie EVER though.

Hey, I thought Rocky Balboa was pretty good. Way better than the "aged has-been comeback attempt" I thought it was.
 
Here is a storyline:

- Now retired John Rambo is enjoying his days in the vibrant retirement home
- Group of [insert current bad guys] geriatric patients takes over the top floor of the retirement home and cuts short adult diaper supplies for other residents
- Heroic John Rambo takes it as his patriotic duty to exterminate those pesky geriatric terrorists
- He not only manages to free the beds on the top floor but discovers involvment of a senior White House official in illegal adult diaper trade
 
.50 cal to the face will turn a few heads.....and limbs...yuk.

I would of liked it if John Rambo dropped the 80's haircut and bandana...this movie is going to eat up the box office.....did anybody see Rambo punch the guy head off....no I mean really punched it off.

Rocky Balboa was ok but it was ruined by the fact that he lost to that skinny little runt at the end.

As if Rocky would have lost to that guy!

Definitely real footage and it's a rough cut, not a trailer per se. It was used as a demo by Stallone at Cannes. Check out the original story on AICN (they have the Joker pic on there too which may be of interest).

I would echo what someone else said on that talkback that it's got that "straight to video" look, but hey it's Rambo - they all look like that!
