New revised 15" Power brick compatibility

I've always remembered the larger power bricks powering the 13" models. My new 15" brick won't power my g/f old White c2d Macbook. When you plug it into hers it doesn't light up/Macbook doesn't respond. Is anybody else noticing this too?
