I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the following dilemma....
I've been eyeing up the new Retina machines with interest the past few days - my 2.4ghz 24" iMac is struggling a bit now and before the rMBP I was eyeing up a 2011 refurb iMac. Trouble is, I'm having a tough time deciding whether this nice new shiny laptop is worth changing my workflow for... I currently have a 11" Air which has seen a lot of use as a day to day machine - so much so that I only use my iMac now for heavy video editing (rare these days) and photo editing (far more than video).
If I was to get rid of both the Air and iMac, I would probably look at a 27" cinema display to make use of the screen real estate- effectively having 1 machine for everything. However this is an expensive solution but I'm toying with whether it's a good leap to make.
For those of you out there have your rMBP in hand, what are your thoughts on 1 machine for all? Are you using your new machine alongside a desktop?
Cheers in advance...!
