new router but can't find spec of MBP hardware...

so im looking to get a dual band router. anyway i have a 2.4 santa rosa mid 2007 mbp. i cant find this anywhere.... will the wireless card support N 5ghz? i know it will do 2.4 but would like to use the 5ghz range.

WHy do you want a 5ghz setup? you know the range of the 5ghz wireless is much much much less than a 2.4ghz setup, and its hardly faster at all?

so i can separate my g and n clients so each have dedicate speed

Ok well to answer your question the MBP does have 5ghz support. However you should try using seperate channels and retain n range.

its common knowledge, check google, you have a 'non unibody early 2008 MBP'.

umm i posted mid 2007 santa rosa... i bought in june of 07....

umm i posted mid 2007 santa rosa... i bought in june of 07....

its still known as the early 2008 model due to the fact that Apple updated the line in August 08 with the unibody which is known as the late 08 model.
