Will I be able to use the RTX 30-Series cards (HDMI 2.1 Output) with a Pro Display XDR? Thinking about adding one to my Mac Pro for bootcamp gaming.

Probably. Use the USB-C port of the RTX card if it exists, or use a Belkin Charge and Sync VR cable to connect a DisplayPort port and USB 2.0 port.
HDMI 2.1 cannot be used with the XDR unless someone makes a HDMI 2.1 to DisplayPort 1.4 adapter with support for DSC.

Search macrumors for examples of people connecting the display to Nvidia RTX cards.

Belkin "Charge and Sync Cable for HUAWEI VR Glass" 4.5m (model no. CAZ001yz5MBK) arrived today.
Unfortunately, it does not work for me.
Tried with Apple Pro Display XDR and RTX 3090 (asus).
Display stays black and not detected as a monitor in windows. Tried different ports etc...
(usb 2.0 connection works as intended and monitor is detected as composite usb device)
I think there is still a chance of mechanical or electrical fault in belkin cable. Thinking of getting usb-c and DP connectors somewhere to test this theory.

moshi USB-C to DisplayPort Cable (Moshi P/N : 99MO084102) works (gpu-z shows 4 lanes in 5.4Gbps / hbr2 mode), including HDR, 6k, 4:4:4 and 12-bit color. Monitor probably stays locked to 1600-nit, brightness is very high, with no ability to change in SDR.

Does CRU detect an EDID?
No.
There was inactive APPAE2D - ProDisplayXDR registry record from moshi cable.
When i deleted it, it didn't re-appear on reboot until I changed cable back to moshi.

problem fixed by grinding plastic from Belkin VR Displayport connector (do not forget to connect both USB-A)
It was a mechanical failure after all. Its an active cable and requires power from USB(A)
Thanks for all support
