Has anyone else noticed that the new Safari MUTE button that appears on tabs can be defeated by web sites running the Flash player? For example, if I run GO CNN live, it behaves well. I can run live CNN in my browser and easily mute the channel at any time including any commercials. It's running Flash, BTW.

Now if I run MS-NBC NOW (live channel), you can mute the audio on the tab or in the player at any time the channel itself is running, but when they go to commercials, FLASH somehow locks out not only its own window controls (so you can't even easily exit full screen mode, hit pause or anything else no matter if your doorbell is ringing or whatever), but it also manages to make the MUTE AUDIO icon disappear on the new Safari tab, leaving you with no other options but to exit fullscreen using the escape key and then either mute the main OS X audio control for EVERYTHING and/or close the tab player and shut off live MSNBC period.

I kind of hoped Apple would have had Safari behave better than that and override any Flash controls that somehow disable the regular mute button and have it mute any audio coming from that tab for ANY REASON, but clearly that is not the case as this is an easily repeatable test.
