New Sam 840 Pro 512GB reports...120GB

First post - certainly searched google madly.

Brand new 512GB Pro - which on an external USB 3.0 enclosure sees it on three separate and up to date Apple machines as 120.03GB in Disk Utility.

Did the erase, secure erase, and erase free space options (timeeee ) - with no change.

The enclosure had my 830 256GB before and correctly reports the size.

Any clues as how to fix or to read correctly?

It's clearly defective. My experience with that same drive has been stellar. Swapped it for the original disk in a matter of minutes, used my CCC to get it up and running smooth as silk.
