New Screen Issues

Hey
I purchased a used macbook pro 15", the last one with the external battery, I bought this laptop with the intent to fix the broken lcd. I have replaced the lcd with one off of powerbookmedic, well my problem is that I have the new screen installed, I can't seem to adjust the brightness with the keyboard buttons nor the system properties tab. What could lead to this, I would like to see if someone had a schematic of the laptop in order to see if its a sensor that might have gotten covered up or something? Any suggestions? Try this:

Anyhow apparently when replacing a screen like in my case or disconnecting the screen from the logic board you're supposed to reset the pram by holding down the key + option along with the P+R keys upon start up.

What model LCD did it have in it and what model LCD did you put it in? Read off the PCB, not the stickers.

Have you tried calling powerbookmedic? Maybe they have support that can help you.
