Has anybody seen this on their Macbook Air?

A very bright, fading line of 6-8 mm at the top of the screen?

I just returned my MBA because of this a couple of day ago. Then today I go to the local apple dealer (in Denmark), and I see the EXACT samt bright line on the MBA screen in the shop. I also checked a unibody Macbook, a white Macbook, and an 24" iMac. None of these screens had the problem - it was only the Air.

So now I wonder: is this a feature of the MBA, or was I right in returning it bacause of this. What is your opinion?

Hi kikkenborgdk,

I think that all MacBook Airs have that small band of backlighting seepage on all sides of the display. I live in the US and every Air that I've come across seems to have that.

Is it really noticible? It's been my experience that it is only really noticeable when you are looking a solid, dark(most of the time) background. It could possibly be just a design flaw due to the thinness of the Airs display, but I don't know that to be fact.

I hope this helps!
