New Security update to Mojave feels stuttering

I feel there is more stuttering going after this update, when an animation needs to happen like 1 split second delay.

My laptop actually started to have micro-freezes at random times after the update

Do you guys recommend to Not update then? (I'm on a 2019 27 inch iMac)

Do you have Fusion Drive or pure SSD Drive in your Mac? why would there be such a significant performance difference if its only a "Security" Update and not a general update for Mojave with System wide optimization and bug fixes?
