I have updated onto macOS Sequoia DB3, and I have realized that they added new shortcut key for opening Passwords app dialog.
New Shortcut: cmd + shift + p

The new shortcut conflicts with shortcuts from JetBrains IDEs..
I have tried to remap the shortcut but I couldn't find any settings related to this..

@adrianlondon Is the Passwords app persistent in your menu bar?
You should see the message in the Passwords app settings:
The menu bar item will open in the background automatically when you log in. Click it or press ⇧⌘P to quickly access your saved passwords.

No, it's not in my menubar and I removed it from my Dock.

I have to type it into the Siri search bar to run it, but as I don't use it, that's fine.

I use Ice to hide the icons in my menu bar. If the passwords icon is hidden then the shortcut doesn't work. If I show the password icon, then the shortcut works.

There's no such global shortcut for Passwords. Cmd-Shift-P would conflict with existing shortcuts in many apps, including Finder.

In which situations does this shortcut launch Passwords for you? In any app or just JetBrains apps?

In any case, if you're already a JetBrains IDE user I'm sure you'll get to the bottom of it soon.

EDIT: After reading your further messages, I realized that you're right. I'll continue soon.

So after reading your further posts, I found that you're correct (your initial post didn't provide all details).

Apple indeed added an optional global Cmd-Shift-P shortcut for Passwords, which is unbelievably DUMB.

This shortcut is already taken in countless apps, including Apple's own Finder. Now countless users will run into the same issue as OP (unless Apple changes this idiotic behavior).

As far as I can tell, there's no solution for this except for not enabling this option in Passwords.

Just make sure to submit this as a BUG to Apple with a suggestion to let users configure this shortcut in Passwords.

P.S. I think that the best suggestion to Apple would be to separate the menu item and the shortcut options (that is, to have two options: the menu bar item and a shortcut).

I mean why on earth would enabling the menu bar item automatically enable a global shortcut?

Especially that the info regarding this shortcut is buried in some tiny info text that most users will never read anyway and thus run into the very issue discussed in this thread.

It would be better to send a feedback in the Feedback Assistant app.

oh yeah for sure that's the best way to send them a feedback. although, frankly, in this particular case i don't think they'll change anything anytime soon. but you never know...

Hmmmm....
Couldn't one just use the "keyboard shortcuts" settings pane to change this to something else?

I'm thinking a "universal" keyboard shortcut that would be active will all running apps, including the finder.

Perhaps:
Command-Shift-Control-P

??

The shortcut is not configurable even in keyboard settings. They hardcoded the key combination.
