Trying to decide between these two.

Pros for MintCases
-The "chestnut" colorway matches my Ghurka bag "chestnut" perfectly.
-They seem to be ready for immediate dispatch vs made-to-order like Picaso.

Cons for Mintcases
-I'd prefer solid leather instead of wool/felt on the inside. Unsure how durable it will be.

Pros for Picaso Lab:
-I like the fact that it's all-leather, inside and out.
-I like that the hard edges add protection. Unsure how hard the MintCases edges are?

Cons for Picaso Lab
-None of the colors match the Ghurka "chestnut" perfectly. Not a huge deal.
-Read a pretty terrible thread about them on this forum, from 2012. Has the quality-control and ordering process improved since then?

Thoughts on any of the above? Anybody owned one or both? Experiences?

Roll the dice on Picaso.

I ordered from them in 2012. They accepted too many orders. Ignore emails for large periods of time. When I finally got the case. It was thick and bulky and Red hued leather when I ordered brown.

To their credit, they did refund the money and let me keep the case. Junked it. Many people never got responses from them.

@zipzap,

Thanks for the info...

When you say "Roll the dice on Picaso", are you just stating that to order from them is a gamble?

Or are you suggesting I order from them, because you feel when they get it right they are so much better than MintCases, such a gamble is justified?..

I'm also interested in this!

Sorry for not being clear. I am saying it could be a roll of the dice. The problems were 2 years ago. Not sure of they persist. Is the case in stock to ship monday? Or does he have to make them. Message him.

Also, the leather is thick. I did not like it once it was in my hands. I also thought he could have felted the inside of the case as does Joli. Such an expert with the leather should be able to to that easily.
