OK I have an original iphone and updated the firmware day before yesterday and now I have nothing but problems. The phone is way slow compared to the old version and now sometimes the thing just locks up. Like the pone will ring but I see nothing on the screen and cannot answer or it just freezes. Are many people having these issues?

There are lots of problems with the new software, but that sounds a bit extreme. I would suggesting doing a phone restore to the newest software. I've had problems, but nothing like that.

Also, make sure iTunes is showing 2.0.1 and not just 2.0.

it is a little unstable, but it should not freeze when you get a phone call
try restoring the iphone
