Report says it will launch for $449.99 in the US - Sony is getting into the ProMax price range. Big price jump from the 5's ($348 on Amazon).

This looks great. I wish non-apple headphones had more seamless switching between devices, but these specs are top notch. Basically what the revised AirPods Max should've been.

I've got the XM5s - they're good, but between the Maxes and the Sonys, I prefer the former. The headband is much better, I prefer the sound signature, and it seems to have a superior handle on low frequencies with ANC. Both are still quite good though.

I've noticed the same with my Bose QC-45's and Sony XM5 earbuds.

Unfortunately, because I wear spectacles, any over-the-ear headphones are out of consideration because I dislike how they press my spectacle frame against my ears. 😕

The AirPods Max are uncomfortable but the Bose QuietComfort 45's are comfortable with glasses for me - they're really lightweight. I can get by without my glasses so I can use the APMs. The AirPods Pro 2's are obviously fine.
