Hey guys,

I just picked up a set of Logitech Z-640 surround sound speakers. I was wondering what I would have to do to get the most crisp, clear sound out of them with my macbookpro an and hdtv.

just use the cables you got with them, if you didnt get any, belkin makes great audio cables..

Get a better sound card; use optical out from your computer to connect to the sound card.

I went out and bought a Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi 5.1, but the features are not avaiable for macs which is a total bummer. I'm going to return to best buy, and stumped on what other usb drive might work?!

The only way you are going to get surround out of those speakers is if you connect them to the optical out on your mac. Thus, the speakers need to have an optical plug.
