I've been an AT&T customer for almost a good decade and looking to switch to Sprint for their unltd data plans.

I know new Sprint customers can't even add phones in their cart @ apple.com & final fees @ sprint.com come out to be $60-$70 just in taxes on top of the phone itself

Just wanna know what people are paying upfront when they walk into a Sprint or Apple store to get their phones? I'm in Northern CA

As you noted in Ca you will pay tax on the full price of the phone. So base price of the phone plus tax. Activation fee will go on your sprint bill.

thx for replying back. found other threads on CA taxes and it looks like there's no escaping that hefty fee
