New SSD: Cannot enable FileVault

I've just replaced my HDD with a SSD in my MBP. Before replacing the drives I did a clone of my HDD to my SSD using Carbon Copy Cloner.

When I now try to enable FileVault in Lion I get this error:
FileVault can’t be turned on for the disk “Macintosh HD”.
Some disk formats don’t support the recovery partition required by encryption. To use encryption, reinstall this version of Mac OS X on a reformatted disk.

Does anybody know why?

I inserted my Lion CD and reinstalled the OS. FileVault works fine now.

If your on Lion, then CCC probably did not restore the Recovery Partition.

The Recovery Partition is necessary to enable FileVault 2's Full Disk Encryption (FDE).
