New SSD iMac - Where to put iPhoto Library?

Put it on the SSD or the HDD?

About 50 GB now and growing fairly quickly. I've been trying to learn my SLR.

Thoughts?

Unless you're about 5GB from filling up 256GB with the rest of your stuff, I say keep it on the SSD.

I'd go HDD. There's really no reason to take up so much space on the SSD with photos that won't benefit a whole lot from faster access times.

That's 2-1 in favor of the HDD, where I was leaning to begin with. Decision made!

I figure I can always switch to the SSD later.
