Hi,

I have a Mac mini running OSX Lion.

It is an old mini which has seen many users .. I want to clean it up and start a scratch.

I have bought a new SSD. How do I install a fresh copy of Lion onto it without cleaning my current disk?

Thanks

Thanks v much!

A lot easier than I thought!

The only data to migrate is apps .. Will that bring across junk or will that be okay?

When you get to this screen in Migration Assistant uncheck everything EXCEPT Apps, and you will get apps only and no junk.

Do all the apps retain there product keys etc? Or will they all go back to trial versions and I need to re enter the keys?

It depends. Apple apps and most others come over with the keys no problem. MS and Adobe apps seems to consistently NOT come over with the key and require reentry. Also, if any apps are limited to XX number of machines, make sure you deactivate on the old machine.
