i've never been a fan of the gsx-r's myself. i'm 5'3" and i have a hard time being able to touch the ground on most sportbikes. i don't know about the new '06 model, but the last several model years have been pretty wide around the seat/tank area that doesn't help me touch my feet down at all. the yamaha r6 had the lowest seat height out of the 600s and was the most comfortable for me. the zx-6 was a contender as well.

i will say that the gsx-rs look pretty nice in the pictures on the site. will need to check one out at the motorcycle show this fall...

krimson - i am so sorry to hear about your friend! i hope he makes a full recovery.

New r6 is insane too. 18k RPM red line, 140 HP

Those bikes look immense

sadly for me they'll have to wait a while - only just past my test, so the insurance is a little pricey
